FAQs

How do I schedule an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, please call my confidential telephone line at 818-430-1054, or email me at dahliagreenbaum@gmail.com. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation where I can begin to learn about you, and I will be happy to answer any of your questions about therapy. This conversation will often help you determine whether we are a good fit to work together.

Do you take insurance?
Although I am not an in-network provider with any insurance companies, I can offer you a monthly statement called a superbill, that you can submit to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement. When a therapist works on an insurance panel, they are required to submit clinical information about their clients, which then becomes a permanent record. I do not take insurance directly because I want to protect your confidentiality and keep your records private.

What is your payment policy and fees?
My fee is $280 for a 50-minute session, $420 for a 75-minute session, and $590 for a 105-minute session. Payment is due at the time of service, and can be paid via credit card, which will be safely stored in your client file.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please contact me at least 48-hours before the time of the session. The full fee will be due if you miss or cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice.

Are you seeing clients in person or via videoconferencing?
At this time, I am seeing clients exclusively via telehealth videoconferencing. I use a secure, HIPAA compliant platform with a unique link each session, to ensure online security and confidentiality.

Are my therapy sessions confidential?
Absolutely! Confidentiality is essential to the effectiveness of therapy, and I work hard to earn your trust and help you feel safe. Sometimes I will want to collaborate with other clinicians and practitioners in your life, so we can all work as a team for you. If this is the case, your written consent will be required before I proceed.
The only times I am required by law to break confidentiality is when your safety or the safety of others are at risk. Some examples of this include child or elder abuse and neglect, or when a client may be a danger to one's self or to others.

How long are sessions?
Sessions vary depending upon what each client needs. Typically, initial sessions for couples are 105-minutes long, with subsequent sessions lasting 75 - 105 minutes. For individuals, initial sessions are 75-minutes long, with subsequent sessions lasting 50 minutes. We will discuss your individual plan of treatment together at our first session.
